Rat tails???

One can not truely understand how excited I was when these words came out of my Sister-in-Laws mouth....."Quick Andy needs a haircut!!!"   Some family will remember a young, very young Sir Andrew having a rats tail that needed a good cutting...and if I'm correct it cost the family $50!!!

I was so darn happy to once again be taking a pair of scissors
to my brothers head!!! This time no Uncle Roger to protect me from slipping and cutting off an ear!

Its very true life is so much better when you have an older brother!!! There will never be a dull moment! Cars on cars....Steve crashed the house party unexpectedly and so he was forced to sleep on Logans "Cars" bed....the next morning Beth had to drive with logans "Cars" bed on her car....HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Little Miss had such a great visiting everyone in Florida! Great Pa loved playing with her and reading her books....he and Great Grandma Lorraine to us all out to eat! Ruby loved Great Grandmas chicken noddle soup!!!

Ruby most certainly enjoyed her visit and Grandma Hartzells house!!! She had some almost her size to play with, and he was the best helper! Cousin Liam loved playing with Ruby and loved to make sure she ate all her food, he on the other hand forgot to make sure he ate all his food!!!

Liam loved that Uncle Tommy was in town....in the pool not so much, Uncle Tommy likes to splash way to much!!!

He was such a great panty checker to....he wanted to make sure Ruby didn't make a stinky diaper without anyone knowing!!!
And soon beach pictures will be up! A different camera was used for these pictures and I can't seem to find the cord, but when I do pictures and videos will be up!!!

Family Photos

We were so stinking lucky again and were able to have the lovely Mrs. Shauna capture our family in photographs! I have to say that in the 8 months Tommy has been home we have failed to get a family picture....we forgot about our daughter at the wedding (I didn't hold her till after everyone left) and Tommy hates pictures so it never got done!!!
But he ws forced and these photos came out amazing! Little Miss is 1 and pictures were needed, so off to the Wildseed Farm we went!
Enjoy and go like her on Facebook!!!

Tinkle Time

Now I know there's many mothers out there that will look at me like I'm nuts....a Potty for a 1 year old?
Why yes we went out last night after dinner and took some birthday money and got Ruby June a potty. It's never to early to start, a certain someone (Kyle) was suppose to have her potty trained before her Dad return home in November!!!

But ever since we started cloth diapering this Mom has paid very close attention to those "Pooping" clues and we have successfully pooped on the potty about 6 times now! If you happen to be tiny like Ruby you understand how tricky that must be, so going smaller is best!

She's only had it for less than a day so we can't really say as to whether she'll use right away or turn it into a toy! She finds it very entertaining, we did look at the cool one that flushed and talked to you but Daddy insisted that the toilet is "For Business not FUN!", so the boring one it was!

It's a Miracle

I've learned one major lesson in the past year....Before Ruby I could clean our home in less than a day, laundry, vacuum, kitchen, walk dog and so on. Now I can only do a quarter of that in a full day...and forget the dog, fenced in back yard is his walk!
But today a miracle has happened...some guy snuck into my home (he did last Sunday too) and ran off with my daughter! Now he tells me he's my husband but my husband would most certainly not be brave enough to venture out to the real world with his daughter!!! So in the past 30 minutes this house was attacked my Hurricane Mom!

Laundry put in dryer and then a load in the washer
Litter box emptied and refilled
Living room cleaned and vacuumed
Bathrooms half cleaned
Peed twice in peace
Recycling put outside
Unloaded dishwasher and reloaded
Dishes set up in sink to be washed
Made lunch and ate it
And now a BLOG!!!!

This truly is a miracle....most days only 2 of those things get done! I think I might hire this guy on full time to get that Tornado Ruby June out of the house....I know when she returns all my cleaning will be for nothing! All her books will be on the floor, her blocks all but built into something and everyone in her pirate ship will have been thrown overboard to the sharks!!!

For now I will enjoy the peace and take a shower...maybe I'll shave my legs???

Ruby June the 1 year old!!!

Holy Moly she made it to 1. I was worried for a bit, remember for the past 6 months shes had just Tommy & I parenting her no grandparents or Aunts & Uncles to help!!! It's a darn miracle!!!

Little Miss was to sure about her cake, she was not your typical 1 year old. All she cared about was the icing, but she sure did make a mess!

Party Time

What a week and then some! Everything from birthdays to graduations to baptisms and it didn't stop there!
We saw life begin...sea turtles getting their sweet love on and then laying their precious eggs...and keep Beth far away from the beer to keep her alive!!
Ruby survived a whole year, thats 365 days, without a skyrocketing fever...but decided the day after her birthday was a good time to rock on with the 105 fever!
Andy managed to not injure a child in the bounce house and Tommy was the one involved with the ER visit.

We have had an amazing vacation so far that started with a 22 hour car ride and a graduation for my wonderful nephews! They start kindergarten this year...Where did the time go??? They sang songs and counted to 15 in spanish.
Ruby got to spend a few days with her awesome cousin Liam and they partied all night long. All Liam wanted to do was feed her, and she was totally okay with lets not forget shes Tommy's daughter!!!
We traveled over to Melbourne and took the party to Aunt Aleas & Uncle Andys...Ruby would like to stay there she finally got into someone kitchen and got to play the "Open Cabinet Doors" game!
We walked the beach and saw 2 giant turtles laying eggs and got way up in their buisness, later on we went kyaking and had a near death experience with the water and bugs!
We came back from the other coast to a baptism party...my sweet Amber got saved!!!

Maggie Pot Pie celebrated her 1st birthday with us...she was one lucky dog not only did she get some sweet presents but also a Doughnut and a party on the counter!!!

Ruby enjoyed her 1st birthday and felt all the love from everyone who came to see her Cute Little Self!
She wasn't a fan of the bounce house which was fine...Uncle Andy got more time in there that way!
She got lots of new books and can't wait to get home and read them!!!

The end of the Party week....all the adults had a blast and then some in the bounc ehouse...no kids to injure just themselves!!!
