Little Brother Stay Put

We are just about to be on Baby Thomas Watch.
And in honor of that Ruby got a sweet new toy....Train Table anyone!

Daddy put it together while she was at the sitters and got to test it out....not sure who likes it more, him or Ruby?

Ruby really enjoyed the train and stealing it from Daddy!

This morning she grabbed her Monster Leggings and attacked the Train Station....
Lucky she didn't have any meatballs to throw down on the station!

Her, Daddy and the boys had some down time...
These 4 just melt my heart everyday!!!!

This is how our morning was spent....monsters attacking Train Stations, and crazy people trying to eat Veggie Balls!!!

WE pray you all have a wonderful week! We will be praying Little Mr Thomas stays put for a few more weeks!!!

Little Mr.

We got to go see the Little Mr yesterday and just like his sister he had his foot in his face the entire time!
Tommy wasn't here for Rubys 3D/4D ultrasound so this was extra special to us. We both enjoyed it, and enjoyed a child free day all thanks to the worlds greatest Baby Sitter Tiffany!!!

Tommy is having a hard time figuring out who he looks more like, the nose is throwing him off. From certain angles it looks like Daddys nose and others it looks like Mommys!

Daddys "Mini-Me" spent the day at the sitters with her two best friends, Jordan & Julian. She got an extra special gift from Little Brother, that stuffed penguin!
When you squeeze it it plays his heartbeat....Ruby just loves it!!!

Corn Anyone???

Ruby gets free range on how to eat her food, she is given a fork and sometimes a spoon at dinner time.
But most of the time she uses her pretty little hands and makes a mess of her hands, face, entire body and the table!
She does a decent job with the fork but sometimes she has trouble with it.
When the fork and hands don't work so well she takes matters into her own......mouth!

I will say that she is a true Butler....she loves her CORN!

Legos and Bread

I tell you....Ruby is one lucky little Girl! She is the first Grandchild on my side of the family...thus she gets spoiled rotten when it comes to holidays!
This year Gma got her the whole set of Princess Duplo Legos!
Daddy has let her open on box a night...and after he puts it all together ruby does what any 18 month old would do....DESTROYS it!

Daddy I brought you my legos, now come put them together!!!

You father are taking way to long to open this!!!

Did you read the instructions Dad?

I really don't think you know what you're doing Dad, I'll look these over and let you know where you screwed up!

The finished product...it last no more than 2 minutes!
And to finish the night off...this is how a certain someone eats her bread!!!

Science in The Hartzell House

One thing I want to do this year is try as many new things with Ruby as I can...and money friendly!
So far we've played with paint and used many different things to paint including the wheels of a toy car!
Investigated jello and all its squishy fun.
Made homemade play dough...someone did not like that all!
Homemade music instruments...old medicine bottle with dried corn and a baby food jar with uncooked noodles!
And our newest fun......Shaving Cream

I wasn't sure how she would take to it, she hated the play dough so I was a tad worried!
But this kid LOVED it!

Please excuse the booger hanging out of the nose!!!
My bathtub got a good cleaning and Ruby smelled FANTASTIC!!! She didn't want the fun to end.
We will for sure be playing with this stuff again here really soon! And I found a blog online on how to make Moon Sand with shaving cream...I'm stoked!

Reso what?

I don't believe I have ever made a New Years resolution, they just weren't for me!
This year though I wanted to do something...something that enriched our home and had nothing to do with weight loss! I'll have that covered the end of March so no need to work any off now!
So I came across something nifty on Pinterest, and my mom harrased me on facebook about it so I decided to do it!
Our 365 days of Awesomeness!
Heres the jist, each day you put something good that happened on a piece of paper place it in the jar and then on New Years 2014 you look back at all the awesomeness that happened!!!
I am pretty excited about this, and pretty excited I am using all these left over mason jars!
The husband actually thinks this was a good idea!

New Years!

Well we found out early that there was no floating cars or robots in the future thanks to our Florida kinfolk who made it to 2013 first!
That and the world didn't end, we were worried that since this palce didn't blow up on 12/21/12 it just might on 12/31/12!
So we went out just incase this was our last night, we wanted to have a little fun.
Our day started off kind of odd...
This never happens in the Hartzell house...had me kind of worried the world just might end!
There was also a "Magic Dog Bed" ride...Blu is so sweet when it comes to sharing his bed with Little Mrs. Crazy Pants!

We later ventured out to one of Tommys co-workers for some fun, didn't stay long since we are parents and our holdem doesn't stay up past 8:30pm!

As you can tell someone had a blast! She has a new best friend...Miss Shannon, she wouldn't leave her side for anything!
We finished our New Years off on the couch in pajamas playing some video games...it's been our little family tradition for a few years now!
