Cracked Eggs and Cash

It's been a wonderful week for Easter! I boiled eggs and a little more than half made it out without any cracks...sad news it that Ruby wont let anyone eat them because "There's babies in them?"
The kids enjoyed coloring them, typical Thomas enjoyed drinking the dye.
Ruby just loved coloring them and of course putting stickers on as many eggs as she could.

I made the mistake of leaving the finished eggs in Thomas's reach..the ones that weren't crack after being boiled were now cracked!!!

In California they force you into recycling! We recycled back in Texas but here they charge you just to take bottles and then kindly give you that money back when you recycle them!
This has now become Ruby's job, she has to take out all plastic bottles to her Recycling Bag out in the garage and this past weekend we took them and she got her $.05 a bottle back!

She did a rather good job and was so overly excited to get her "Coupons". She made a whooping $7.20 this trip! She spent it wisely buying herself M&M's and flowers at the farmers market.

  2. So cute! I think it's great that she's learning to recycle and even better she's rewarded for it!

    1. She just loves to buy flowers at the Farmers Market, so we started to give her chores so we aren't always buying them! She loves to do them and loves it even more to buy her own flowers! She has her own wallet too!
